Our work in New Zealand

New Zealand has a long history of being influential in world missions, as demonstrated by the many missionaries (considering our size) we have sent into China. Also, in recent times many Chinese friends have come and made New Zealand their home, so the Chinese population in New Zealand has grown rapidly. The Chinese people now more and more have a special place in the hearts of many New Zealanders.

Because of these two facts, New Zealand is in a unique position to be effective in outreaching to China and bringing the gospel to the many Chinese that need to hear about Jesus.

We would be thrilled if you would partner with us at CCSM in doing this. There are many ways of doing this, but we have found the following three ways most effective:

• Pray

  – This will always be our number one priority in outreaching to China. We can do so much for China by simply getting on our knees in prayer. In New Zealand we have many prayer warriors who daily pray for the salvation of the Chinese People, and for the various needs of the Chinese Churches. We have established prayer meetings in Auckland, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch.

We also produce and distribute a free monthly newsletter with much relevant and impacting information about China. In this newsletter we have up to date prayer requests and needs to pray for China and its churches. If you are going to do anything today, please sign up for this newsletter. • Give

  – There is still so much work to be done in China, we are mostly restricted by funding to provide the various outreach materials to the Chinese Churches. Some of our projects include the following:

Literature

We provide many different materials from printed books to SD Cards. There is so much need in China for good Christian material to feed the Churches. We also provide Large Print Bibles to help the poor of sight and the elderly.

Mercy

We also provide mercy programmes to many Chinese who are in need. In China many people fall through the gaps and are just forgotten. We help support various mercy projects such as Welfare Centres and Orphanages.

Medical

Many people in China are suffering debilitating diseases and disabilities that can be corrected easily and at low cost, they just need the right opportunities to meet with those with the right Medical Training to help them. Because of this we provide free medical care through one of our partner organizations to many Chinese each year. We visit the poor and underprivileged in rural villages who are just trying to survive and do not have the financial means to get the correct treatment. See the Medical page

Short Term Missions

CCSM has been at the forefront of Short Term Missions to China. Unfortunately because of Covid 19 these Short Term Teams have been put on hold. If you would like to know more about these teams, please contact us and we will get back to you once we are able to go into China again.

Long Term Missions

We are constantly talking to people about the possibility of serving in China long term. We have many opportunities available, so if you would like to talk to us about the possibility of serving in China, please email the NZ Director on NZdirector@amccsm.org . We would love to talk to you!
