Our work in South Africa

Our work in South Africa

South Africa National Office

Here are some of the aspects of the CCSM ministries that the South African national office is involved in:

Prayer

We produce and distribute a monthly China Prayer Letter with current information and specific needs of the Church, and what God is doing in China, enabling you to pray on a regular basis and in an informed manner.   Please pray about starting a prayer group in your church or local area.  We can assist you in this regard – southafrica@amccsm.org

Short-Term Teams

CCSM remains at the forefront of Short –Term Missions to China. As of 2020 teams have been suspended due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, but we are optimistic we will restart as soon as international borders re-open to travel.  Contact the SA National Office. to get the latest news on Teams

Long-Term Service

CCSM currently have workers in China and we would love to be a part of this journey if you sense God leading/calling you in this direction.  If you are a native English speaker with a university degree and two years teaching experience we can help you find exciting opportunities to teach in China.  Contact teachers@amccm.org for more information or contact the SA National Office.

Literature

We continue to provide free Christian Literature to the Chinese Church but now focus mostly on supplying an SD card (AppSTER project) that fits inside a smartphone, computer or electronic tablet. These SD cards contain hundreds of books and other resources – all in Mandarin. If you would like to donate to support this, then please go to the SA Givng page. For more information look at the  CCSM AppSTER page.

Mercy work

We have a partnership that allows us to share in supporting young children with significant special needs in a foster home setting.   Likewise, we also support older children and teenagers in orphanages and welfare centres.  More information on the Mercy Page and also contact the SA National Office.

Medical work

We have another partnership that provides both long-term medical care across a very poor rural area of China. Our partner facilitates short-term visits that give whole village communities valued medicines, professional surgery and treatment, including eye surgery and dental care free of charge. If you are a qualified medical practitioner or are able to help with the many non-medical duties, you could participate on a team, or you can donate, pray, sponsor and support this valuable work.
For more information contact the SA National Office.

Be part of what God is doing in China.

Area Representatives
Would you be willing to be a Representative of CCSM in your area?  We would provide you with resources and release you to do whatever you can to promote CCSM and the Chinese Church.  Contact us at southafrica@amccsm.org  if you would like more information.

Ask your church leaders to feature China in their mission focus – if you would like someone to come and share about China and encourage prayer, then contact the  SA National Office.

Choose a way to give that works for you

We are grateful for every donation, which enables us to continue this work. We are able to offer several ways for you to give, please choose the best way for you. If you are able to commit to a regular donation - every month, every 3 months, every year - whatever the frequency, this greatly helps us plan and provide consistent support in and for China.
